Learn Marathi in 30 Days.  Balaji Publications.  Size 4¾"x7".  184 pages.  Covers reading and writing the alphabet; emphasizes common three and four-letter words; basic grammar including tenses and cases; formation of sentences; important phrases; vocabulary buildup; numbers and dates; and a 46-page dictionary printed in English, then in Marathi script, and finally transliterated into English phonetics.  Altogether, a very good little beginner's book.  This is a cheaply made book but chuck full of good information.

Learn Marathi In A Month.  Read Well Publications.  Size 4½"x6½".  196 pages.  This book describes itself as "Simple, Smooth, Scientific, and Accurate," but trust me__it takes longer than a month to learn most languages, and Marathi is no exception.
   Includes progressive, step-by-step lessons on writing the alphabet, vowels, consonants, word formation, etymology, numbers, formation of sentences, positive and negative interrogatives, person, cases, and all the grammar and practise exercises needed to achieve familiarity with the Marathi language.  40 million people speak Marathi__you can too!  This is a cheaply made book but chuck full of good information.
