The Michoacan Pacific coast is dramatic and spectacular: Hawaii with no tourists. Endangered turtles travel thousands of miles to mate and bury their eggs here. Forty years ago, poachers raided these beaches until an ancient tribe called the Nagua, became guardian of the turtles. At night we follow the turtles laying the eggs which are brought to a safe compound. Eggs buried 45 days ago are hatching. Hundreds of black turtles energetic with life are brought to the beach.
