Baltic States consists of the three countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The natives of Latvia and Lithuania are known as Baltic people and the intersection of them with Estonia leads to the way for the population of the Baltic States. The Baltic States are known to be located in Northern Europe and they do have a strong hold on the politics of their region. These countries had greater connection with the sea, which made it easy for them to connect with Northern Europe.

In the states of Latvia and Estonia, the Parliament made a selection of the president but in Lithuania, it was made by popular vote.

The people of the Baltic States reside in the eastern coast of Baltic Sea and they share relatively the same language and are able to dwell with each other. There are cultural differences among people in Baltic States but they are able to maintain unity and stay away from the difference in a very good way. Different languages are spoken by people of this region. The Swedish rule helped in the establishment of schools in the 17th century that is in progress until today.

The Russian language is studied in most of these schools as this region has a strong hold over Russian language. The people of Baltic States are involved in the game of basketball and they love playing it. Ice Hockey is famous in Latvia.
